[REVIEWS] Jasmine Fine Thai Cuisine

I had Pad Thai for lunch.

Again.

But I'm not sure that I'll be going for the third day in a row tomorrow... because these noodles were satisfying!

I immediately noticed the chewy texture that I had missed in Shana's noodles yesterday, and the sauce was light. Notice the difference between the noodles below and Shana's oil-drenched close-up in my previous post:

Looks fresh, doesn't it?

Relying on the well-cooked vegetables and the generous helping of tender chicken, this dish satisfied my palate much more than Shana's overcooked Pad Thai, which relied on its heaviness to satisfy some oil-loving palates.

It could have used a little more flavor, however - and I'll just leave it vague, as "flavor." I'm still not sure what it is that I'm looking for in Pad Thai, but while I know that Jasmine serves some fresh noodles that won't drown me in oil, I still continue my search for the perfect Pad Thai.

Jasmine Fine Thai is a short walk from Santa Clara University, near Lafayette, and I was in and out within thirty minutes. The bill came out to $8.61 for the entire meal, including tax, so I put down a $10 bill and was on my way!

Good service, nice outside seating, and fair prices - recommended for a quick Thai lunch fix, if you're in the area.
